Mercer Island is ideally located in the middle of Lake Washington, providing an ideal commute for anyone working in Seattle, Bellevue or other nearby business centers. Despite being so close to urban centers, Mercer Island has a rural feel to it, with many trees, parks and views of the lake and Mt Ranier. Most real estate on Mercer Island is single family homes, thought there are apartments and condos located at the small business district at the north end of the island.
